BIOGRAPHY

Lisa Wiegand is a Detroit native, LA based cinematographer who has photographed award-winning independent features and short films. She has been featured several times in American Cinematographer Magazine and has been awarded for "Excellence in Cinematography" by the American Society of Cinematographers. Her films have been distributed in theaters, on television, DVD as well as seen in festivals around the world.

The upcoming 7th season of Fox Television's "24" will feature Lisa's work as a 2nd Unit Director of Photography.

Lisa’s recent features include:
Adventures of Power” (dir. Ari Gold, Prod. Andrea Sperling) starring Ari Gold, Adrian Grenier, Michael McKean, Jane Lynch, Steven Williams, tells the story of a misfit who saves the soul of his home town through his extraordinary air-drumming skills. “Adventures of Power” is filming in Utah, Los Angeles and New York and is still in production.
“Adventures of Power” will premiere at the 2008 Sundance Festival.

My Suicide” (dir. David Lee Miller, Prod. Eric Adams, Todd Traina, Harold Ramis) starring Gabriel Sunday, Joe Mantegna, Harry Shearer, David Carradine and Nora Dunn, about a high school student who announces in his video production class that he is going to commit suicide on tape for his final project. “My Suicide” is currently in post production.

"Bob Funk" (dir. Craig Carlisle, Prod. Keith Kjarval) starring Rachael Leigh Cook, Stephen Root, Grace Zabriskie, Amy Ryan, Eddie Jemison and Michael Leydon Campbell, is a comedy about an alcoholic futon salesman who is fired by his mother and falls in love with the woman who takes over his job. "Bob Funk" is currently in post-production.

Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade” (dir. Lincoln Ruchti, Prod. Michael Verrechia) a documentary featuring the top 1980s arcade video game champions on Pac Man, Frogger, Space Invaders, Defender and other well known classic games. “Chasing Ghosts”  appeared in competition at the 2007 Sundance Festival.

Lisa has taught cinematography at The American Film Institute, UCLA, and Loyola Marymount Universities and she volunteers her skills to the Sundance Institute's Filmmaker's Lab.
